You probably know the oldest pagoda in the world at Hōryū-ji in Nara, but this one at Hōnen-ji in Busshōzan, may be one of the newest ones. It’s only two years old!

  1. Wow! It’s just a baby by comparison. Has it been rebuilt or is it just new?

    • I don’t really know. I’m having the hardest time finding information (in English or French) about Hōnen-ji.
There must have been one in the early years of the temple, but there wasn’t any until recently. That’s all I can say.

      • Thanks David, Yeah I’ve tried having a look as well and can’t find much on it. Could be a good niche for you as you are coming top of my Google search. I would love to hear more if you can find the information.

        • I will definitely post more about Hōnen-ji (at least pictures if not information… I have a few of those though, just not much).
In terms of rankings, this is my blog bane. I rank well on random things like this, and not well on the keywords that matter.
However, if I rank well with this one, it’s because it simply is “too niche” nobody looks for it.
