I don’t know about you, but I really like this view of Ogijima’s Lighthouse.   On a side note, there are some little changes to the blog. First a slight change to the header. The title is now included in the header picture and not above it anymore.

It’s starting to get pretty cold. So to make you (and myself) dream of warmer days, here is a small video of Ogijima’s lighthouse beach with an amazing view on the Seto Inland Sea that I shot a little while ago:     And as a bonus, a sunset

When you walk to the lighthouse on Ogijima, this is the first glimpse you get of it. It’s also one of my favorite views along the way.     Indeed, the important thing when you go to the lighthouse, is not the lighthouse itself (although it is interesting in

This picture was taken yesterday on the ferry from Shōdoshima. I’ll give you the details of that small daytrip very soon. If you’ve ever wondered why I chose to live in Kagawa, this should help you start getting an answer.     You may have recognized Ogijima’s Lighthouse and Ōzuchishima on

This picture may be one of my favorites of Ogijima’s Lighthouse. And you won’t be surprised if I tell you that 康代 used it to draw this blog’s logo, although for some reason I use it mostly with the French version of the blog, but you’ve seen it if

These two pictures were taken from Meon, coming back from Ogijima and arriving at Takamatsu Sunport.     What’s funny is that a couple of days earlier, I was wondering about the fact that I never see (or at least have the feeling that I never see) seagulls

One thing that perplexed me the first time I went to Ogijima was the fact that the main if not only thing that was promoted in the area as an incentive to visit the island was its daffodil fields that bloom around this time of the year (that was

While I use Ogijima’s Lighthouse as my logo for this blog and its French counterpart, I haven’t actually posted many photos of the actual lighthouse. So here is one, taken on my first trip there in 2009 (more will come sooner or later). Note Naoshima in the background.

I’ve already mentioned it here as well as posted a few pictures, but never gave any details. Here are some. The Red Lighthouse of Takamatsu is located at the end of a 1800 ft long breakwater. It was built in 1998 with the rest of the Sunport. It’s not very
