    This small stone building over the pond in the northern half of the Ritsurin Garden used to be a place to watch ducks during the Edo Period, and probably hunt them too. And actually that makes me wonder. If Japanese people used to eat ducks a few Centuries

  Another shot taken in my neighborhood. Introducing the Matsunawa Pond (not sure if that’s the real name) whose purpose is – I assume – to provide water to all the rice fields in the neighborhood (it’s not the only one in the area). It doesn’t have much water right
